Getting There

Getting to the Oregon Convention Center couldn’t be easier. It’s central location in the heart of downtown Portland’s Rose Quarter/Lloyd District affords numerous and speedy transportation options – whether traveling by car or taxi, riding the city’s airport connected lightrail or often by simply strolling a short distance from your hotel. The center offers 800 spaces in its onsite parking garage.

Just eight miles from the Portland International Airport (PDX), the Oregon Convention Center is accessible via Interstate Freeway I-5 north from exit 302A (Rose Quarter) and I-84 west exit 1 (Lloyd Blvd.). It is bound by Holladay Street, Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Lloyd Blvd. and NE First Ave.

Please allow between 30-45 minutes to drive to or from downtown Portland and Portland International Airport.

Parking

In addition to the ample street and bus parking in the surrounding area, the Oregon Convention Center provides onsite parking in its clean and secure underground parking garage. 800 spaces are available on the garage’s two levels. The maximum daily rate to park is $8.00. Enter the garage via its First Avenue or Lloyd Boulevard entrances. Clearance on the P1 level is 7 feet; clearance on the P2 level is 9 feet.

Parking Advisory

Please be advised that there are other privately-owned lots operating in the vicinity charging upwards of $10 to park. Though these lots promote “convention center parking” they are not affiliated with the OCC in any way. Depending upon the event, overflow parking may be directed to one or more satellite lots and/or garages in the area. For questions concerning the availability of these satellite options, please contact your event manager or call 503-235-7575.

Other Options

Street parking is available daily and there are 2,500 parking spaces within walking distance of the Center for weeknights and weekend parking.

Portland TriMet’s public transit MAX light rail train and daily bus service (Line 6) stop in front of the OCC.

Short Term drop-off/pick-up zones are available adjacent to the OCC on MLK Blvd. and on Holladay Street.

Bicycles and Motorcycle Parking

The OCC has bike racks both outside all main building entrances from the street as well as bike racks on both levels of the parking garage.

There is also designated motorcycle-only parking spaces in the garage. Motorcycles pay the regular parking rates. Recreational Vehicle and Mobile Home Parking The OCC does not permit overnight parking for recreational vehicles or mobile homes in its parking garage, or in any of its satellite parking lots.

Accommodations for Disabled Persons

Disabled parking is available in the OCC parking garage and all OCC lots on a first come first served basis.

Light Rail & Buses

Portland’s efficient lightrail, TriMet MAX Lightrail transit, connects to Portland International Airport (PDX) and stops 162 times a day at OCC’s own station. The center is located within the city’s “Fareless Square”, allowing passengers to travel on the trains for free within the downtown area. MAX makes stops throughout downtown Portland, the airport and west to Hillsboro, Oregon. A Portland TriMet bus (Line #6) stops on Martin Luther King (MLK) Blvd., directly across the street from the convention center.
