The Community Leadership Summit and Open Source Think Tank have partnered to create a unique event designed for executives and managers involved in community management planning and strategic development. While the normal annual CLS serves practicing community managers and leaders well, this unique event is designed to be very focused on executives in a strategic leadership position to understand the value and process of building a community.
Join the Think Tank Community Leadership Summit and participate with other executives in discussing topics related to building a strong community management strategy in a unique and interactive format.
About The Event
The Think Tank Community Leadership Summit provides a day of sessions and interactive case studies to better define, manage, and deliver effective community management and relations.
Taking place at the Open Source Think Tank, the industry’s only by-invitation event for senior executives to gather and discuss the present and future of open source in a collaborative and collegial manner, the Think Tank Community Leadership Summit brings together the focus and spirit of the Community Leadership Summit in Portland, Oregon, the leading community management event in the world, but designed for the executives and leaders who attend the Open Source Think Tank.
The Think Tank Community Leadership Summit provides a rich schedule of presentations and workshop sessions to present and discuss the nuances of:
- Creating and resourcing a community management strategy
- Hiring a community manager
- Managing delivery and performance
- Building internal communities and leveraging open source development methods inside the firewall (inner-sourcing)
- Creating a strong relationship between the organization and the wider community.
This knowledge and skills will be exercised with a collaborative case study as the group works together to solve problems, with the solutions presented to the Open Source Think Tank attendees over the course of the three-day Open Source Think Tank event.
About The Organizer
The Think Tank Community Leadership Summit is led by Jono Bacon, founder of the annual Community Leadership Summit, author of the best-selling The Art of Community, Ubuntu Community Manager at Canonical, and community management consultant.
